Does The HCG Diet Really Work?

One question almost everyone (naturally) feels compelled to ask is: Does the HCG diet really work?

The success of such a diet depends on certain factors:
  • The dieter's determination to stick to the strict protocol.
  • The quality of the HCG products used.
For the latter, HCG diet drops are recommended to try first, because dieters report similar results, yet you don't have to go to a doctor for a prescription, the diet drops are cheaper than injections and have few to no side effects that injections have.

There are many critics who say that the great results reported by some users of this particularly powerful diet are due solely to the fact that they are following a very restrictive diet plan (500 calories/day) and nothing more. But, if that were the case, this would be nothing but another crash diet and would be very difficult to follow. The HCG diet works in most cases because of the combination of two things: the diet protocol masterfully engineered by Dr. Simeons, and the HCG product itself.

So does the HCG diet really work?

Critics and skeptics raise questions, try to scare people away, and find all kinds of reasons they think the diet won't work or is a sham, but they remain puzzled over the results of real-life dieters. Hundreds of thousands of people all around the world have lost weight on the diet successfully; that is, without the major discomfort you might be afraid of with such a low calorie diet. Seeing the scale drop day after day is incredibly motivating -- a factor that cannot be discounted. After the diet, people report being more in control and thus have an increased personal ability to keep off the weight. Plus, the side effects are low, particularly if you use diet drops.

As for you, the only way to know for sure, of course, is to try it yourself. It's always wise to check in with your doctor before beginning a diet plan, but otherwise -- the results speak for themselves. If the experience of other people are any indication, it would seem you have a very high chance of success.
